OIC has published its comment letter in response to EFRAG consultation on KPI for SME’s project

The Organismo Italiano di Contabilità has published its comment letter in response to the Draft Assessment Report issued for public consultation by EFRAG, which aimed to assess whether the market is interested in a potential voluntary template containing key information for small businesses.
Based on the feedback received, EFRAG has provisionally assessed that there is insufficient interest in the template among lenders.
The OIC has been interested in the project from the very beginning and actively involved, also thanks to the collaboration of an OIC staff member seconded to EFRAG (Nadia De Santis). In general, the OIC’s position—which takes into account the main stakeholders interested in the project—is aligned with EFRAG’s conclusions. In fact, while the introduction of a voluntary template for SMEs could represent a useful tool, it might not be a definitive solution to address the financing difficulties faced by European businesses.
Please find attached the OIC comment letter.
