In recent days, OIC President Michele Pizzo attended the annual Congress of the European Accounting Association (EAA) in Prague, where he presented research awards of €5,000 each. Launched by the OIC last year, these awards aim to promote academic research on topics relevant to its activities.
In collaboration with the EAA, the following research papers were selected:
-
“Implementing Recurring and Nonrecurring Disaggregation to Enhance Disclosure in the Statement of Cash Flows” presented by Alberto Halfeld & Tami Dinh. This award was presented in memory of Prof. Alberto Giussani.
-
“Demand for Sustainability Disclosures: Evidence from Web-Tracking Data of CSRD Reports” presented by Maximilian A. Müller & Lea Hagemeier.
-
“Assessing corporate sustainability with large language models: Evidence from Europe” presented by Lucas Keil, Kerstin Forster, Victor Wagner, Maximilian A. Müller, Thorsten Sellhorn, Stefan Feuerriegel.
Considering the success of the initiative and the importance of such research for the OIC’s activities, the OIC intends to promote a similar initiative for the coming year as well.
