The Italian Accounting Standards Setter (OIC) has published the Feedback Statement on accounting simplifications for small enterprises.

The document summarises the results of the public consultation launched in 2024, highlighting broad support for the need to introduce simplified accounting rules for small and micro-enterprises. Another important element of the document is the comparison with the approaches adopted by major European countries regarding accounting frameworks for SMEs. Alongside this analytical work, the OIC identifies a number of possible lines of action.
